From March 3 to 9, 2027, Fieberbrunn will once again become a meeting point for the international freeride scene. Around the legendary Wildseeloder, the FWT Contest and a varied program of events at the Event Village by the valley station will create a laid-back atmosphere.

Freeriding Goes Olympic!

Freeride skiing and snowboarding will make their Olympic debut at the 2030 Winter Games—a milestone in the sport’s global development. Their inclusion in the Alpes 2030 programme recognises how freeriding has grown from a small competition scene into a rapidly expanding sport worldwide. Since 1996, the FWT has helped shape competitive freeriding, offering a structured pathway from junior events through the Qualifier and Challenger series to the elite level. Today, the FWT ecosystem includes more than 10,000 licensed athletes, with over 300 competitions held across four continents each year. The Olympic debut will create new opportunities for current and future generations of freeriders and introduce the sport to audiences around the world. MORE

Competition

The legendary North Face of the Wildseeloder awaits the athletes, from whose summit the world’s best in their sport will plunge into the depths.

The steep and rocky north face of the mountain is a real test even for the most experienced professionals, and the riders will give their all to secure the title with a great result!

Access to the Contest Village on the mountain (except for required lift tickets, if applicable) and to the Event Village at the valley station is free of charge. No separate event ticket is required.

Directions

Event Village (valley station) → Contest Village (Wildalm):

  • Ascent with the gondola lift F1+F2 Streuböden I+II
  • At the exit at the mountain station, keep right and follow the signs to the Contest Village
  • The path is accessible on skis and by foot

Contest Village (Wildalm) → Event Village (valley station):

  • On skis: ski downhill from the Contest Village to the Reckmoos Nord middle station. From there, take the E1 Reckmoos Nord I gondola in the direction of Fieberbrunn and after getting off, take piste 108 or F8 Maiskopflift to the Event Village (valley station)
  • On foot: take the outward route back to the mountain station on the Lärchfilzkogel and take the F1+F2 Streubödenbahn I+II down into the valley

Note: The Contest Village is located in the open ski area – ski and walk at your own risk!
